Five Favorite Light Fixtures

Today I’m sharing five of my favorite lights as part of a great series called “Five Favorites.”

Maybe you’re already familiar with this fun monthly blog series hosted by Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles, Kris from Driven by Decor, and Lisa from Shine Your Light .

Each month these talented design bloggers choose a theme and then narrow it down to their top five favorites.

This month the topic is lighting and I’m so glad they’ve asked me to join them!

I have a lot of light fixtures in my home, as I’m sure you do too!

Professional designers always recommend several light sources for a well designed room.

In addition to high hat lights in almost every room, we have table lamps, pendants, floor lamps and sconces.

Light Fixtures From Our Home

Dining Room Favorite Light Fixtures

Today I’m going to talk about five of my favorites, starting with this handsome pendant in my husband’s home office (above.)

I love how this light hits all the right notes…it’s masculine but not too heavy, modern but with a nod to classic style and of course, it provides beautiful light in this room.

Next is our dining room chandelier.

I had to include this because it’s my personal favorite.

It’s so glam and sparkly and it’s clearly the star of our dining room.

We have it set up on a dimmer switch and it helps to create just the right mood for special dinners, holidays and parties.

Etoile Sconce

Since we’re already in my dining room, I can’t help but mention this pretty pair of sconces we have in here as well.

These add a lovely warm light to the room.

They also look just as pretty when they’re turned off during the day!

Finally, I also love the little detail of the star on the base.

Five Favorite Light FixturesFang Gourd Table Lamp

Home Office Favorite Light Fixtures

Up in my home office, I have this white Fang Gourd table lamp on a console table.

Although we originally purchased these as a pair and used in our old house on a table behind the couch in our family room.

However, here, in our new house, this didn’t lend itself to the same set up.

So, now I have one lamp in my office (above) and the other one is on an end table in the family room.

As a result, both really look great in their new spots!

This goes to show if you love something, it will probably always find a place in your home.

Light Fixtures on my wish list-

Lastly, I thought I’d share something from my “lighting wish list.”

Actually this Serena and Lily woven pendant light is at the TOP of my wish list.

Hoping we can incorporate it into the beach house we’re currently renovating!

I think it has the perfect coastal modern vibe we’re going for.

There’s a lot more fabulous lighting options over on my friends’ blogs today.
