Home Tour: Tory Burch’s Magnificent Hamptons Estate

Tory Burch Hamptons Estate

Even though this home’s been all over the internet, I couldn’t help but to dedicate a post to it here. Tory Burch’s stunning, antique Georgian home, Westerly is total dream.

The beautiful interiors designed by Daniel Romualdez are so inspiring, but it’s the amazing outdoor shots of this picturesque property that really grabbed my attention.

I’ve been thinking a lot about having our own red brick home painted white. Yet, after seeing how stately and beautiful Westerly looked, I’m starting to rethink this whole idea.

Instead, I think I need to focus more on our surrounding landscaping. Much the same way (albeit on a much smaller scale) Tory’s landscape architect, Perry Guillot, did with her property. I’m hoping larger box woods and maybe some more climbing ivy will help to soften the look of our house.

This wouldn’t be the first time this style icon’s decor has directly influenced my own. It was Tory’s stunning Abre de Matisse Quadrille print in her iconic dining room that inspired me to use it in my own home.

Have you ever gotten any home decor inspiration from this style icon?

I drove by Westerly this summer, and it broke my heart a bit to see how much this historic estate had lost it’s stately presence now that it’s painted white. And you could tell that just from the bit you can see looking up the front drive to the main entrance. 🙁 I love white painted brick, but more so when the brick is not a great color and/or newer and not as beautiful as this old brick.
