Reflecting Back on 2018

Welcome back to the blog! Hope you had a great holiday. Today I thought I’d take a little time to reflect back on this year. There were some standout moments for me on a personal level. Also looking at the analytics for this site, it’s important for me to see which posts resonated with you, the reader the most.

Starting with the personal. Back in January 2018 we bought a beach house up in Rhode Island. You can see the original post announcing our beach house here. Granted the house (NOT pictured above:) needed a lot of updates, but I’d be lying if I said we thought it would be taking this long! While we did add to the original project, we can’t believe that it’s not finished yet! It’s taken every ounce of self control I have not to put our contractor on blast at this point. Despite the delay causing a lot of stress, I do try to keep things in perspective. Hopefully I’ll have some major reveals coming up in 2019.

In February, a quick question on Instagram led to this collaborative lisst of great books to read. That was a lot of fun and I’m still working my through it.

I launched a new blog design back in March and finally moved this blog over to WordPress! On a personal level this was a very big step. This is the first post with new blog format.

Also big for me was finally getting reader feedback from  a survey I did in back in September. SO thankful to everyone who took the time to take the survey!

October marked nine years of blogging. It’s truly incredible to think 2019 will be ten years.. I had no idea I’d be at this long and love it this much! I feel like I should plan something cool to mark the occasion.

I’ve listed the most popular posts of 2018 below. It’s so interesting and helpful for me to see this!

These last two posts were part of a series with other bloggers, something I hope to do more of in 2019. If there’s anything you’d like to see in the coming year, please leave a comment or shoot me an email or even a DM! As always, thanks for stopping by and reading and cheers to 2019!
