Three Fun Things
Trying out something a little different. I’m talking about three fun things I’ve received in the mail from various companies.
These aren’t sponsored, they’re gifts – or what’s known as “care of.” Typically these are items sent to bloggers with the hopes they will receive some social media attention. There’s no payment, no strings attached. Outside of my Instagram stories (and sometimes not even there) I don’t really talk about these little surprises (sometimes we know they’re coming, sometimes we don’t!) But, today, based on how much I love these three products – I thought I’d give them a little shout out – for lack of a better term!
It’s a fine line here…I don’t want to come off as “look at me and all my gifts!” BUT I also don’t want to seem ungrateful to the brands sending me these things, especially when they turn out to be things I love! And, therefore, think you will too!
It also worked out nicely to be one fashion item, one home decor item and one beauty item. Feel free to let me know if you’d like to see more of these posts in the future, or not so much! Thanks!
1. The first item was from a “new to me” company called Bloomist. This simple decorative pale wood chain is so chic and not something I’ve seen everywhere.
I keep mine on our coffee table in our beach house and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments from guests this summer.
2. The second item is this adorable mini wicker top handle clutch/cross body bag from J.Mclaughlin. It comes with a cute little leather and chain strap you can attach and then wear as a cross body bag..and I love a good crossbody bag, not to mention a wicker bag! I love the bamboo top handle and the fact that JMclaughlin had local monogram company, MonogramMary (whose stuff is gorgeous btw) hand paint my initials on it! This bag is a great, summery classic! It’s also on sale right now!
3. Last, but not least…I’m trying to get on board with the whole clean beauty thing.
So, when I received this salt scrub in the mail, I was pretty excited. But, also a little skeptical… massage my head with salt? Really? But, after a long weekend at the beach, and a head full of anti-frizz hair products, sun screen and probably some sand, I decided to give it a try. You can find ALL my favorite beauty finds here…if you’re curious!
The smell is SO amazing and the lather felt very pleasant. The salt pretty much melts with the warm shower water. It’s supposed to be used as a type of clarifying shampoo, not an everyday one – and I plan to keep using it! PS: My hair continued to smell amazing all day:)
