One of the best parts of writing this blog happens behind the scenes. I’ve been lucky enough to connect with so many readers, designers and artists who share a similar passion and sense of aesthetics as myself. These connections both in real life and via email have been a lot of fun and so rewarding.
Today I’d like to introduce you to Lisa Furey, the talented lady behind the design firm, Barefoot Interiors. Lisa has graciously invited us into her charming carriage house. This fun “getaway” house multi-tasks as Lisa’s office, accommodates guests and also serves as a hang out space for Lisa’s two college age daughters. I love how Lisa included what she calls a “tea kitchen” with a microwave and mini fridge, cleverly concealed behind closed doors.
Lisa was kind enough to include photos (all taken by John McManus) of the inside and outside of her lovely carriage house. I couldn’t help but notice how similar our design style is- I absolutely love the blue front door, not to mention the clever built in beds. Thanks so much Lisa, for sharing this fabulous place with us today!
