As many of you know, we’re in the final furnishing phase of our beach house renovation. So, of course I’ve got beach house style decor on my brain!
We’re aiming for a distinct “beachy” feel with our Rhode Island house. I don’t want to go too overboard with this theme and have it turn out too kitschy. Since I tend to love seashells, sea glass, anchors, etc., I feel like I might need to reign in a bit sometimes. That’s why classic coastal style homes are my north star right now…so to speak!
So, what exactly does beach house decor look like, when it’s done right?
Here’s what I’ve noticed works best…
When decorating a beach house, classic patterns like stripes and bold batiks look best. Other decor ideas like woven accents along with soothing shades of blues and sandy tans help to tie it all together.

It’s hard to pick a favorite room in this retreat, since they all look so beautiful. Yet, the bunk room is too cute not to comment on! I’m still trying to convince my husband we need one in our own house. Hoping this post helps bring the point home!
