Master Bedroom Renovation
Our beach house renovation is taking a bit longer than we had hoped…but I can’t say I’m surprised.
In fact, if it was running along smoothly either ahead of schedule or even on time, I think I would be shocked!
We were told the reason for the hold up was due to some steel beams needed to replace the load bearing walls we removed.
Sounds legit, so here we are.
In the meantime, I’ve been placing some orders.
You might remember I was contemplating a blue grass cloth paper for the first floor guest room.
I chose this one.
Also, I ordered some simple plain white glass subway tiles for the kitchen back splash.
It’s so similar to the back splash we have (and love) here in our kitchen in Connecticut, I decided to go for it again.
As for the guest bath, I’m “this close” to placing an order for Les Touches by Brunschwig and Fils wallpaper.
Now I’m contemplating a silver/gray grass cloth paper for the master bedroom.
As you can see in this stunning bedroom (above and below) designed by Chango and Co(an interior designer I love to follow for eye catching inspiration). – this paper looks amazing.
Both neutral and modern, and to my eye, somewhat soothing.
They both look so similar (I have the samples and can barely tell them apart) so I guess it will just come down to price and availability.
Last but not least, I also ordered this printed grass cloth sample -Schumacher’s feather bloom in blue.
It’s so fun and pretty, I’m thinking I might use it on a bedroom ceiling, or maybe in our walk in closet?
What do you think?
I love everything about this master suite – especially the hardwood floors and elegant window treatments here.
The color schemes above and below are also something I want to try and duplicate in our own bedroom remodel.
