  31. Love it love it! Especially in kids rooms and living rooms! Unfortunately, I think all the builders in the O.C. had some aversion against symmetry and come up with crazy layouts for rooms. Maybe a hallway like th eone you posted will be in my future?

  39. I have a love/hate relationship with symmetry! I think it always brings a feeling of calm to a space, but an asymmetrical organization if usually more interesting, which is very appealing too. Great pics and a useful post.

    I too am a 'symmetry girl' – it doesn't always have to be as structured as this but I love it when a room is well balanced. So restful for the eyes.

    Am in love with the little table in no 1. and the wall of bird art in the last pic. Gorgeous!
