California Chic Home Design
I’m loving this Pacific Palisades home designed by Mark D. Sikes.
The subtle ways Mark brings the outdoors in to his interiors always catches my eye.
This soft, neutral master bedroom (seen below) is going straight into my “beach house” inspiration file.
Be sure to scroll through to the bottom of this post for even more ideas on how to get this fresh California style in your own home.
I found and sourced some great pieces inspired by this beautiful house.

The natural fiber of this front entry carpet looks so elegant against the dark wood floors here.
All the natural light here keeps it from looking too heavy and dated.
This west coast living room has so many great details.
The print on this sofa makes it such an inspired piece!
This mid century modern style light pairs so perfectly with the more traditional soft furnishings here.
Of course I can never get enough of the fabric on the walls and drapery – it’s Abre des Matisse by Quadrille, a forever favorite of mine.
Using even just a few natural materials can make such difference in your home decor.
PS: A rustic California oasis.
