Thanks so much for all the great feedback on our new beach house!  And, just like last time – I’ll be posting updates on this project, in real time as much as possible, over on my Instagram stories.

One of the best parts of renovating a home (at least for me) is finding beautiful ideas and inspiration. So far, finding design inspiration for this home has been a total joy.

Beach houses are such happy places. I love to gather up all different styles, especially in the beginning phase of a new project. Basically, any beautiful space that catches my eye I’ll file away for further consideration.

This stunning Shelter Island, New York home is a great example. The current owners fully renovated this Victorian beauty.

All the white paint is the perfect back drop for the intricate details of this historic home.

The back porch is my absolute favorite, it’s making me miss our old home’s porch so much! Luckily, our new house does have a charming, screened in back porch.

We’re very excited about this.

The over all style of this lovely beach house is giving me a lot of great design ideas.

I’ve been scouting out similar design elements – like these antique brass sconces. Hoping to use them in our new beach house.

Scroll through to the bottom of this post to see what else I found to achieve this fresh, sophisticated coastal style.

Gorgeous Interiors! In LOVE with these dark floors! Would you be willing to share the product info? I’ve been looking for a similar floor for my kitchen in Seattle.
