Peeking Into Designer’s Homes

Heather Chadduck Birmingham Home

This lovely Birmingham home belongs to decorator and textile designer Heather Chadduck Hillegas. It’s in the latest issue of House Beautiful and since I love it so much I just had to share it here.

Ms. Chadduck Hillegas’ home is known as Pineapple House. Named after the pineapple’s symbolic meaning of welcome and hospitality. According to the feature, the home is a century-old clapboard colonial in Birmingham, Alabama. It’s been lovingly restored by Heather and her husband, photographer David Hillegas. The rooms feature many of Heather’s gorgeous textiles in addition to exotic travel treasures the couple have found antiquing over the years.

I can’t get enough of the traditional yet relaxed look of this charming home. It all looks so inviting! Understated elegance at it’s finest.

PS: Another fabulous designer’s home tour (one of my favorites!)
