Summer Blues

This has been a weird summer for us. Mostly due to the fact that my oldest child is leaving for college in a just a few weeks! Feels like a weird transition because we don’t know what to expect. There’s a lot of nervous anticipation on my end. There’s also this feeling of “being unprepared” looming, because it seems like my daughter still needs a million things for her dorm room. Which of course, is sort of ridiculous.

It’s also super hot and humid. So, here I am – anxiously awaiting this next milestone – with frizzy hair. Plus, even though it’s uncomfortably hot – I’m never really ready for summer to end. Seems like some retail therapy is in order here – all in a shade of very soothing and chic blue!

I may or may not have been petting this bag at Barney’s New York yesterday….

Gorgeous, vintage, Italian, blue wine glasses…just typing those words makes me happier!

This blue shagreen tray is a stunner! Going right into the beach house files….

There’s something very appealing about the retro vibe of this vintage art.

Finding a great pair of jeans in the perfect shade of denim blue is always a mood booster – these are a current fave.

A suede bucket bag – SO chic for fall.

Super cute oxford stripe pajamas – and they’re on sale!

Love this tie neck navy sleeveless top.

Last, but not least – a decorative blue and white jar for less than $40!

PS: Last year’s summer blues still look pretty good!

Awesome blue finds! I LOVE both purses! Best of luck dropping your daughter off at school. My daughter will be starting college in a few weeks too and our living room is full of all her college things. I have no idea how she’s going to fit it all into a dorm room!
