The One Kings Lane Connecticut House

Last week I attended a press preview of One Kings Lane’s latest design studio (as you might’ve seen over on Instagram) which is right here in my own town of New Canaan, Connecticut. When I first got the invite I was a little confused, as this showroom is really the home of One Kings Lane‘s president, Debbie Propst. Debbie moved here to New Canaan last fall and does in fact live in this beautiful home with her husband and two young children.
In an innovative move, Debbie along with One Kings Lane designers have turned the first floor of her lovely home into a living showroom. The space is so beautiful and so inspiring. I didn’t need any convincing to see how this set up will be extremely helpful to One Kings Lane customers. In fact, as soon as I got home I ordered this very pillow. I’d been looking at it online, seeing (and touching) it in person, in Debbie’s chic living room sealed the deal.
I’m already looking forward to a return trip to Ms. Propst’s home. The home will be open to the public starting today, April 3-7th and then every Friday, by appointment only starting April 21st.
And for all my friends that head out east each summer…I hear there’s a plan in the works for a seasonal One Kings Lane shop in Southampton….stayed tuned!

Does anyone know where the rug under that huge table in the living room is from?
