Week Four!
This is a crucial week.
All the big decisions need to be made and ordered by now…which they are, thankfully!
I found a great looking faucet last week (see image above) it’s been ordered and thanks to rush shipping it’s here and sitting in the box waiting for the plumber.
The old counters have been removed and the new ones are installed.
The white subway tile back splash is going up as I type this.
In fact, the shorter of the two walls is already complete and it looks so fresh and clean…perfect for a laundry room.
I’ve got both the plumber and the wallpaper guy coming in tomorrow.
The faucet installation should be pretty straight forward and the walls will first be prepped before the paper goes up…. It’s really all coming down to the wallpaper…
As I wait on the wallpaper, I’ve been shopping for accessories for the laundry room. So far, I’ve found a rolling hamper in a perfect size and a fun striped ironing board cover. Pulling the room together with little accessories (the zhushing) is always the most fun – but I’ve got to keep reminding myself to factor the shipping dates into the timeline here.
While all of this is going on, I’ve been slowly organizing the laundry room. It’s no longer a catch all for old useless items and a mishmash of dated accessories. Limiting the amount of stuff on the counters and finding better ways to use all of the cabinets and drawers (like a wrapping paper, tape and bows section) has already changed this room for the better.

I truly love decorating kitchens, its where families and friends basically socialize. Good luck with the plumber and wall paper guys, you have done yourself fabulous. Warmest Maria http;//www.simplenaturedecorblog.com
That rolling hamper is adorable. I think I would be happier doing laundry in this room.
Looking great!!!! You'll be the "laundress" in no time!!

Love the white tile! It looks so clean and crisp. You are moving along nicely. Dying over your photos of paris!
What kind of mini plants are those on your counter? I love those!!!
Thanks! They are actually faux – got them at Ballard many years ago.
I love that ironing board cover! The small things really matter!
Really nice! I like the placement of the knobs. And sprayer faucets rule! My husband couldn't understand why I insisted on one, but he quickly realized how handy it is and can't imagine not having it.
