This post is part of a paid partnership with DesignShop; however the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
I’m so excited to introduce you to DesignShop, a fabulous new online resource for sprucing up your home.
If you’re currently contemplating a home renovation, a new build, or even just a small scale interior design project, you’re going to want to know about this.
In a nutshell, DesignShop offers you, the consumer, the opportunity to sample all different types of materials you might be considering.
In my excitement to learn more about this great concept, I placed my first order.
I ordered seven items, here’s my order summary:
Ceramic tile in Gypsum from Fireclay Tile.
A satin brass Tribeca T-Knob from Emtek.
Metamorphosis Vegetable wallpaper in pink from Coordonné.
Flat Bryce Roman Shade in Sand from The Shade Store.
Alpine bouclé fabric in Snow from James Dunlop.
Orsina Sisal grasscloth wallpaper in Natural Mocha Swirl from Walls.
Laminate Countertop in Layered Sand from Formica.
Today, we’re going to dig into my experience, what I ordered, how it’s helping with our own Florida home renovation and what exactly DesignShop has to offer.
Placing The DesignShop Order
So let’s get into what exactly DesignShop is.
And, more specifically, how it can help with the never ending amount of expensive design decisions involved in any project.
First off, if you’re new here, I talk a lot about picking paint colors.
And, whenever I do I always stress the importance of using paint samples from a company called Samplize (love them).
Seeing the actual paint sample in your own home, with your own lighting is so important.
Taking this theory one step further, the same company to come up with Samplize has now expanded and created DesignShop.
On this site you can order samples for almost everything you need.
From tiles, wallpaper, fabric, flooring, they have an incredible array of choices available with many top brands to choose from, including high end brands.
Aside from the convenience of having all of these samples available on one platform, DesignShop has expanded on this concept by providing all sorts of inspirational ideas by room, featuring materials you can sample, as well as product visualizers.
I found the ordering process to be incredibly easy and the delivery was super fast.
What Came In The Order
Since I’m in the very early stages of our guest bedroom and bathroom remodel, I had a few ideas in mind.
The website was super easy to navigate and also gave me some great new additional ideas.
For example, it was the coastal themed wallpaper in this image which inspired me to sample a bold, colorful paper for my own project.
For my order, I chose a selection of samples – tiles, fabric, wallpaper, and even a brass cabinet knob.
The knob was actually not technically a sample, it was a whole knob!
This really helped in determining if the style of this knob would work for this project…it does!
Next Steps
I really feel like DesignShop has thought about everything here.
For example, now that we know we want to use this knob, I just need to pull out the corresponding product card to order!
The QR code just makes it that much more convenient and quicker to order materials from each of the brands I sampled!
All in, I can honestly say I think this is such a fabulous interior design resource to have.
I’ll definitely be using DesignShop again.
