On the hunt for some comfortable walking and travel shoes?
We’ve got you covered here today!
the best travel and walking shoes
Now that I’ve traveled to both Italy and France in the past few months, a few of my friends have been asking me for various recommendations.
The one question that comes up the most is what type of shoes to pack!
This makes so much sense to me, because I put a lot of thought into my footwear before these trips.
I know that there’s nothing worst than aching, blistering feet – it can seriously ruin your vacation.
Since both these destinations entailed a lot of walking, I knew I wanted to get my shoes right.
To complicate things, if I’m not careful, I’m prone to Planter Fasciitis and lower back pain.
Now that I’m back home I’m so glad I put the time into the right shoe choices. I had zero pain!
Here are the shoes that worked great for me in my travels and beyond…
CHIC AND COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES FOR TRAVEL
For Paris I knew I wanted to look chic and be comfortable.
I was there in early April, so the temps were only in the mid-sixties.
I’ve sworn by my Isabel Marant booties for years (I also own the similar suede pair.)
Having stomped all over New York City in these several times, I knew that these would be the perfect shoes for my trip.
Not only are these shoes stylish and comfortable, but the concealed inner wedge makes these ideal for walking and standing for long periods of time.
These are the only shoes I took on my trip and proved to be all that I needed.
For our trip to Italy in June, when the summer temps wouldn’t be great for leather booties, I did a little research and ended up bringing a few pairs of great shoes.
These sandals, these Tom’s slip ons (which I got a ton of compliments on – you can see them here) and these cute Supergas.
I probably could’ve gotten away with just the sandals and the Toms, but it was nice to be able to change them out…especially when one pair got soaked in the rain.
Finally, both my daughter’s swear by their Adidas sneakers .
These are extremely popular in Europe, you will see them everywhere.
Since I’m the same shoe size as my oldest daughter, I borrowed hers and loved wearing them too!
So, there you have it, my go to travel shoes, perfect for walking and touring large cities.
Do you have a “go to” travel shoe you love?
