Top Five Favorite Coffee Table Books

books as decor

There are two home decor items you can ever have enough of: candles and coffee table books. I’ve talked about my favorite candles before, but I’ve never done a whole post on coffee table books, until today.

The easiest way to add some color and personality to a room is with coffee table books.

The list of options available is endless-but today I’ve rounded up my five go to favorites.

From fashion, to art and interior design, these beautiful books not only look great, but they’re full of amazing photography and fabulous inspiration.

And, of course they make excellent holiday gifts!

1. Allegra Hicks: An Eye For Design

I own two copies of this book! One I bought for myself a few years ago, as soon as I saw the “eye catching” cover:) The other a good friend bought for me and I’m so glad she did-I’m more than happy to display this beauty twice. The book is as fabulous on the inside as it is on the outside. An Eye For Design, offers an in depth look into the inspiration behind Allegra Hicks’ stunning textiles and patterns.

 2. Harper’s Bazaar: Greatest Hits

As America’s longest running fashion magazine, Harpers Bazaar has been at the forefront of style for well over a century! This book is filled with amazing editorial fashion imagery and fabulous fashion moments in time. A must have for any fashion and style lover.

3.Vogue Living: House Gardens People

Another gift from a good friend, I can easily get lost inside the beautiful pages of this book. I always turn to it for a little uplifting inspiration and a fun peek inside the lives of some of the world’s most glamorous people.

4.Tom Ford

My top personal favorite, and not just because the chic minimalist black cover is the perfect balance to all my pink and feminine fashion books (but it doesn’t hurt). This book is a comprehensive catalogue of Ford’s designs for Gucci
and Yves Saint Laurent from 1994 to 2004. With
more than 200 photographs by Richard Avedon, Mario Testino, Steven
Meisel, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Terry Richardson, Craig McDean, Todd
Eberle, and numerous other photographers, Tom Ford, is the perfect addition to any design lover’s book collection.

5. Tom Wesselmann

As a big fan of American pop art (and contemporary art in general), I couldn’t resist mentioning Tom Wesselmann’s book. The striking cover adds a fun visual any where you place it, which for me is always at the top of the stack.

I have several more favorite coffee table books and the list is always growing. Scroll through below to see a few more of the books I love to decorate with.

  1. Thanks for this design inspo! I didn't even think about the books I placed on my coffee table, but your recommendations are way prettier than mine! I'll have to check these out.
