Since I already own several solid neutral blazers, I was excited to try something a bit different.
When I saw this gorgeous hounds tooth blazer at Saks, I knew this would work so great for both a casual day time look and also a more pulled together evening outfit.
This print is a bit out of my usual comfort zone.
I tend to gravitate more towards “denim mixed with solid neutrals” or “black on black everything” but this checked pattern blazer is expanding my style horizons a bit.
Especially since it manages to work beautifully with practically everything in my closet!
As you can see in the photo above, it’s the perfect compliment to an all black outfit.
I love it when the pieces in my closet can work double duty.
Extra points when they’re super comfortable and easy to wear.
The fun dickeys which zip into these blazers only add to the stylish options you can create.
Next, I paired my new blazer with this gray hooded dickey and jeans for a more casual day time look.
You get a great layered look without a lot of bulk, in other words – super comfortable.
