Back in March I did a post about the outdated and poorly lit kitchen in our Vermont ski condo. I also included inspirational images for the re-design of the new kitchen. Over the summer we completed this project, and last week I snapped a few (grainy) shots to share here. Adding extra lighting, pale gray painted wood cabinets, light gray granite counter tops and shiny stainless appliances had a tremendous effect on this space. The dark wood floors were a nice upgrade from the previous uneven thick muddy tiles (which, inexplicably also served as the previous back splash). Next summer: the bathrooms!
Here is a shot of the old kitchen, from when we purchased the unit in 2008.

the new kitchen looks fab!! well done!
Sue– This as a beautiful remodel. You must so enjoy this kitchen, now! The colors and finishes are superb.
The black and white photograph is the perfect touch. I'd love to eat pizza and sip hot cocoa here.

What a great job Sue! I love that you worked with the existing layout and enhanced it tremendously…great eye! The ceiling fixture might just be my favorite piece! The cabinets, the countertops, etc are excellent too! Perhaps a tour when I'm in VT?
What a lovely and modern update! it looks great – what happened to the moose stools???
I love a good before and after!! It's beautiful! You did a fabulous job!

I have no excuse as to why I can't get our home kitchen reno up and running when your condo is now running circles around my idea files! I am so in awe, that I can't come up with a word better than awe-some right now 🙂
I think it looked better before. That milky plastic laminate really does it for me…
😉 Someone had to say it. Of course it looks fantastic! love the grey and that you kept the wood, quite beautiful~!
