These are the warm, easy winter pieces I swear by and wear on repeat.

Basically, my go-to winter uniform.

Having cold weather staples you can rely on are the secret to outfits which feel easy, comfortable and still look super polished.

1. Fair Isle Sweaters and Cardigans Fair Isle sweaters and cardigans are everywhere right now. Which means there are so many beautiful options at every price point. The best part? You don’t have to spend a fortune to find one that looks truly great. I especially love the colors in the one I’m wearing above, and this one is another great option with a generous cut for layering.
2. Leather Boots A good pair of leather boots, both short and tall – are the backbone of a winter uniform. They work with everything from jeans and knits to dresses and tailored layers, making them a true wear-on-repeat essential. Below I’m wearing these classic black leather tall boots (I love the generous cut for calves and the square roomy toe box) and above these gorgeous ankle boots. I also love the look of these sheepskin winter boots, and they just might be the answer to -what snow boots to wear with wide-leg jeans! Lastly, these tall leather boots are pretty fab too!
3. Warm and Chic Outerwear Warm, well-made outerwear is obviously a non-negotiable in winter, but that doesn’t mean sacrificing style. The right coat keeps you cozy while instantly elevating even the simplest outfit. Pictured below is my favorite and warmest winter coat, it’s a splurge, but I’m also linking this one, which looks SO similar. I also love this puffer coat because it’s super light, VERY warm and it’s packable.
4. Winter weight dark denim jeans Winter-weight dark denim is a cold-weather essential. The heavier fabric adds warmth and structure, while the deeper wash instantly makes every outfit feel more polished. You can’t go wrong with this pair! And the pair I’m wearing below for a more straigh leg cut perfect for tall boots.
5. Blazers Think of these as your layering heroes. I love this classic blazer and how the interchangeable dickeys let you change up the look. A friend insists this version is a total steal, as it looks nearly identical to the more expensive one I mentioned.
