Latest design progress
I thought I’d give a quick update on the design progress here at my home today.
Getting our beach house renovation project move in ready by mid summer still remains a priority, but I’ve been having fun making a few small changes here and there to our home here in Connecticut. F
For starters, after getting our new round kitchen table and cane chairs this winter, I’ve been playing around with various centerpieces and can finally say I’ve landed on a look I love.
This large round tray and these faux orchids provided a colorful focal point and an easy finishing touch to this space. Brings a smile to my face whenever I walk into this room.
Next up, in our family room – after searching for months, I finally found a set of fireplace tools I love. The brass handles were what really caught my eye.
Also eye catching, these chic little wooden bead accessories from Target.
And, I picked up this adorable tassel basket after spotting it at the Serena and Lily store up in Westport. It’s perfect for holding a bunch of throw blankets.
Over in my husband’s home office, after debating window treatments in this room for over a year, we finally made the decision to just paint the mullions black and leave them alone. Melissa from Pimlico Interiors helped us pick Benjamin Moore Space Black for the windows and I love how this came out!
Finally, finishing up my daughter’s room. We picked out these chic and simple nightstands and I had an electrician install these sconces on either side of her bed.
Just a few minor missing pieces and this room will soon be done!
I’m also still very focused on finishing up our third floor TV room and I’ve been showing the progress in this space on my Instastories. Pimlico Interiors has been great with helping me make and source the design decisions here.
Stay tuned for the final reveal of the third floor this summer.

I love your blog. Appreciate the time and devotion you put into it. I really like your butterfly wall art. Looks like one in a family room and one in a bedroom. Where did you get them? I’m looking for a butterfly print to go into a bathroom. Thank you.
