Our House Feature: All Linked Up!

The full article along with all of the photos of our home’s renovation, is now live on the Cottages and Gardens site.  Many of you had either left comments or emailed inquiries with specific questions about sources, paint colors, etc. Most of these questions are answered in the article, and many more answers can be found in a question and answer post I did awhile back, in conjunction with our living room sneak peak, here. Thanks again for the tremendous feedback we received, it was and still is, greatly appreciated!

Our House:Featured in Cottages & Gardens!

Several months ago, I did a post with this sneak peak of our living room.

The hope was that the photos, taken by John Bessler, for our designer, Lauren Muse’s portfolio would be published in a magazine.

That day has finally come…this month, Connecticut Cottages and Gardens has featured our home in the March issue!

The focus is “Rethink, Renew, Refresh-Embrace the Season of Change!”

Our feature entitled “Room To Grow” written by Dana White, tells the story of our renovation project, working with Lauren Muse, and finally starting this blog.

Once it’s on the magazine’s website, I’ll be sure to link to it! For now, these are the photos of our home.

In Be Tween

This is my oldest daughter’s bedroom. The thought of making good on my promise to update it is making me feel so sentimental. I poured my heart into this room… designed at the time I was pregnant with my second child, and feeling so guilty because I was uprooting my then two year old daughter out of her nursery to move her here. But, now she is eleven… a young lady with tastes all her own. Below is the inspiration photo she chose, and some of the items we will be ordering to achieve this goal. We will be keeping the walls green and adding a lot of blue. Would love to hear your thoughts.
