This is my most popular gift guide every holiday season, so I gave it a BIG update this year!

My girls are now 24 and 26, but for years they helped me pick their gifts by handing me their own wishlists.

So I’ve learned A LOT about what teen and college girls actually use, and what ends up in the back of the closet.

Below I’m sharing what I learned, the gift ideas I’d buy right now, and what I’d skip.

What I Learned Shopping for My Daughters

Cozy always wins! The best gifts I ever gave my girls were the cozy things. Soft throw blankets, sweatshirts, UGGs and cute socks. They used them constantly.

The flops were the tops and sweaters I picked for them myself. Every time. If they didn’t ask for it, I learned not to guess on clothes.
Get the exact brand they ask for. Teens are loyal to a handful of brands, and a lookalike usually doesn’t go over the same way. If it’s on the wishlist by name, buy that one.

According to my daughter, this first group above is inspired by current TikTok trends.

This was a really fun one to put together.
