Purple is one of my favorite colors to wear this season.
From soft lavender to rich plum to deep aubergine, there is a shade for everyone.
It feels unexpected and yet pairs beautifully with the season’s denim, grays and warm neutrals.

I rounded up a few favorite pieces, including this sweater above, that make it so easy to add this fabulous color into your wardrobe.
- short sleeve cashmere sweater – This is such an easy way to add a little color to a fall outfit. The saturated color is gorgeous and perfect with so many different jeans and pants. It’s super soft and oversized, I sized down on this one.
- the perfect daily tote – A great bag is the easiest way to wear this color without committing to a full purple outfit. Roomy enough for everyday and polished enough to carry everywhere, it instantly makes a simple jeans and sweater look feel intentional and polished.
- cashmere poncho sweater – So cozy and so chic. The soft shade makes is look so elevated and it travels beautifully.
- barrel pants – If you have wanted to try the barrel leg shape, a rich plum is a wonderful way to go. The relaxed curved leg is flattering and current. I love these with a tucked in knit and a flat or a sleek boot.
- drawstring pants – Comfortable doesn’t have to mean casual. These have an easy drawstring waist but a polished drape, so they dress up with beautifully with a cute sweater, or down with a simple tee.
- quilted jacket – The perfect throw on layer for crisp fall days. A quilted jacket in purple feels fresh instead of expected, and it looks just as good over jeans on a dog walk as it does over a more elevated outfit for dinner and drinks.
- v neck sweater – A classic v neck is a true wardrobe workhorse, and the neckline is so easy and flattering to wear. In this shade it adds just the right amount of color. Lovely layered over a collared shirt or on its own.
- satin blouse – This is the piece that takes you into evening. The liquid sheen of satin in a deep purple feels quietly luxurious. Tuck it into trousers for dinner or let it peek out under a blazer.
- oversized button up shirt – One of the most versatile things you can own. Wear it buttoned and tucked, open over a tee, or knotted at the waist. The soft purple keeps it from feeling basic.
- flats – Proof you can add this color in the smallest, easiest way. A pretty pair of flats in purple goes with denim, trousers, and dresses alike, and they’re comfortable enough for a full day on your feet. They also look a lot like The Row to me (a lot!)
- oversized cashmere crewneck – My kind of everyday sweater. Roomy, buttery soft, and the saturated color makes jeans look instantly pulled together. Size down if you want a slightly less slouchy fit.
- plum suede push lock clutch – Such a pretty little finishing touch. The plum suede feels rich and seasonal, and the push lock closure looks far more expensive than it is. Perfect for date night or dinner out.
- cropped satin pants – A fun, slightly dressier option. The cropped length and satin finish feel modern, and they look wonderful with a simple knit and a heel, or even a flat for daytime.
- plum cashmere knot button cardigan – The little knot buttons are the sweetest detail. A cardigan is the most wearable way to add color, layer it over almost anything, and the plum cashmere is so soft and rich for fall.
- semi precious beaded necklace in amethyst – If wearing purple feels like too much, start here. The amethyst beads add just a hint of the color and a bit of natural sparkle, and they dress up a plain sweater so beautifully.
