Next month this blog is turning nine!

So crazy! In nine years of blogging I’ve learned a lot about design, interiors, writing a blog and social media.

However, I know I still have a lot to learn.

In order to make The Zhush better, I’ve been thinking I’d love to learn more about YOU!

What you’d like to see and read about here, what I could do better – basically, I’d love to learn more about you in general.

So today I’m asking a favor of you.

I’m hoping you can take a few minutes to answer this reader survey.

I promise it’s short!

And, to sweeten the deal – because I know your time is precious, everyone who completes this survey will automatically be entered to win a $100. Nordstrom gift card!

TAKE THE SURVEY HERE!

Thanks in advance! I’m excited to read the results and good luck! The winner will be announced here next week.

Coastal Kitchen Design Inspiration

So, today I’m sharing one of my all time design favorites.

This gorgeous crisp white kitchen space designed by Becki Owens.

This coastal kitchen design has it all…let’s get into and break it down.

Our beach house project has an open plan, so I’ve been looking for this type of kitchen inspiration for a while now.

I especially love the idea of a tongue and groove high gloss ceiling. Not to mention those chic rattan stools – they’ve been a favorite of mine for quite some time.

Little touches of natural elements like the greenery here are so pretty, and could really work in any home, not just ones with a coastal design.

Best of all it’s so helpful to see how Becki incorporated the family room that flows into the kitchen.

Open spaces like this can be tricky, but keeping everything simple, clean and neutral seems to be key to the interior design here.

I’m sure I’ll be referencing this space a lot in the next few months.
