Do you love to get inspired by coastal homes and classic coastal kitchen designs?
I know I do!
Coastal Kitchen Design Inspiration
So, today I’m sharing one of my all time design favorites.
This gorgeous crisp white kitchen space designed by Becki Owens.
This coastal kitchen design has it all…let’s get into and break it down.
Our beach house project has an open plan, so I’ve been looking for this type of kitchen inspiration for a while now.
I especially love the idea of a tongue and groove high gloss ceiling. Not to mention those chic rattan stools – they’ve been a favorite of mine for quite some time.
Little touches of natural elements like the greenery here are so pretty, and could really work in any home, not just ones with a coastal design.
Best of all it’s so helpful to see how Becki incorporated the family room that flows into the kitchen.
Open spaces like this can be tricky, but keeping everything simple, clean and neutral seems to be key to the interior design here.
I’m sure I’ll be referencing this space a lot in the next few months.
The warm honey shade of the wood floors works perfectly here with the all white cabinets.
All of the kitchen decor choices are so good!
Large windows like these are so great in beach house kitchens for obvious reasons.
I would love to have hardwood floors like these in our own beach kitchen.
This post has some fabulous Etsy sources for really cute kitchen accessories.
A simple white subway tile backsplash is so classic and will always be in style.
Stainless steel appliances are always a chic choice.
Love white cabinetry in a white kitchen so much!
And this beach cottage has such great natural light.
Kitchen cabinets can be tricky, as they can either make or break the overall design of your kitchen.
This popular post has great advice for finding the perfect of white colors for your kitchen cabinetry, right from an expert.
Another good choice here are the black pendant lamps.
These are the perfect counterpoint to all of the white walls and design elements in this space.
They also provide such a great focal point.
Rattan pendant lights would also be another great idea for a beachy kitchen like this.
Speaking of rattan…
Natural materials are a must in a coastal style kitchen…
For example, I’m so crazy about these light beige rattan counter stools a the kitchen island here.
