Blogger Home Tours: Lauren Nelson

This month’s blogger home tour features Lauren Nelson’s chic and sunny Manhattan apartment.

Lauren and I have had a social media friendship through our respective blogs for years – going back to when Lauren lived in Chicago.

Now that Lauren’s close by in New York City, I’m sure we’ll get to meet in person one day soon!

Until we do, it’s always fun to get a glimpse of another blogger’s abode, especially one that I admire so much.

And, as you can see, Lauren’s home is super stylish.

I love that Lauren used our zhush.com monogram shams as part of her fabulous bed set up! As for all of Lauren’s other design sources, including that beautiful pale blue paint color, you can find everything listed and linked over on Lauren’s blog.

One Room Challenge: Laundry Renovation Week Six
 

Our Laundry Room Renovation Reveal!

 

So excited! Today’s the day – the one room challenge laundry room renovation reveal!

It’s the grand finale of the One Room Challenge, otherwise known as the big reveal, otherwise known as the best part! 

As a quick review, I chose to zhush our laundry room.

This is what it looked like six short weeks ago (this was week 2, week 3 week 4 and week 5 progress.)

Today, I get to show you the finished project.

One Room Challenge: Week Five
 
We’re in the final stretch of the ORC! ( remember weeks one, two, three and four?)  As you can see from the image above, the new counters, back splash and faucet have all been installed. I’m loving the fresh, clean look! Now that everything else is done, the laundry room is ready for the final and biggest step, the wallpaper.
 
And it’s going up right now… So far, we’ve only hit one minor glitch, which consisted of me not realizing we’d have to move the washer and dryer out of the installer’s way-which is thankfully now being taken care of. You can get a sense of how the paper is going to look below…I’m pretty sure the final outcome is going to be good! #fingerscrossed
 
While the work has been going on in the laundry room, I’ve been busy finding accessories and storage baskets to help bring the room together.
Almost everything has arrived (including our new rolling hamper, which fits the space perfectly). By the end of the week, I’ll be picking up some plants and flowers in order to give the room a little pop of color – getting it all ready for the final reveal…
