Every year, my favorite things gift guide is the post I look forward to the most.
Not the trend roundups, not the sales, this one.
The things I actually love, use, wear, and reach for again and again. The pieces I find myself recommending to friends, gifting to the people I love, and quietly repurchasing when I run out.
So consider this my little black book for the season.
I’ve gathered twenty of my very favorite things, a mix of true splurges and smaller treasures, so there’s something here for everyone on your list (and a few you’ll want to keep for yourself).
Some are pieces you’ve loved right along with me this year, the ones you made bestsellers. Others are quiet discoveries I cannot stop thinking about.
A little of everything I hold dear: something cozy, something sparkly, a beautiful thing for the home, a scent I adore, and a few classics that never let me down.
Everything is linked just below the collage, so you can shop whatever catches your eye.
Here they are, my favorite things this year.
The Favorite Things List – COZY KNITS AND COATS
- Cotton Quince Cardigan – I had to start with this one. It’s the cardigan you’ve seen me reach for again and again, and clearly you love it right along with me, because it’s become one a true bestseller over here. The organic cotton is soft and lightweight, so it layers beautifully nearly year round, and the price makes it such an easy yes. A true everyday workhorse, and therefore the perfect place to begin.
- Max Mara Short Teddy Coat – If you treat yourself to one thing this season, let it be this. The Max Mara teddy is a true investment and a coat you will reach for year after year, impossibly soft, wonderfully warm, and that camel shade goes with absolutely everything. Worth every penny.
- The Great Lodge Sweater – The coziest kind of statement. The folksy pattern feels like a warm weekend away, and it layers so beautifully over a denim shirt or a simple tee. This is the one that makes an everyday jeans outfit feel special.
- Tuckernuck Cashmere Cardigan – An everyday luxury. Tuckernuck’s cashmere is wonderfully soft, and a good cardigan is the most versatile thing you can own, over a tee, buttoned on its own, or tossed on for a chilly evening. So pretty in this rich plum shade for fall.
- Tuckernuck Cropped Chocolate Brown Faux Fur Jacket – So much fun and so of the moment. Chocolate brown is everywhere this season, and this cropped faux fur instantly takes jeans from everyday to dinner-out. The piece that makes you feel a little glamorous.
FINE JEWELRY
- BaubleBar Semi Precious Beaded Necklace in Tiger’s Eye and Citrine – The easiest way to add a little warmth and sparkle. The tiger’s eye and citrine beads pick up all the gorgeous browns and golds of the season, and it layers beautifully or stands on its own. A pretty, giftable piece that doesn’t break the bank.
- Ring Concierge Toi et Moi Diamond Ring – Ring Concierge is my go-to for fine jewelry, and this toi et moi a true favorite. The two stones feel modern and meaningful at once, and it’s the kind of ring you’ll never want to take off. A special splurge, for someone you love or for yourself.
- Ring Concierge Solstice Lab Diamond Drop Huggies – The perfect everyday upgrade. These little drop huggies add just enough sparkle for day or night, and the lab diamonds give you all the brilliance for a fraction of the cost.
- Ring Concierge Classic Diamond Bangle – A timeless piece that goes with everything and lasts forever. Wear it alone for a little shine or stack it with your other favorites. The kind of gift that becomes an heirloom. I reach for mine all the time.
- Ring Concierge Graduated Bezel Diamond Tennis Necklace – An absolute showstopper and worth every penny. The bezel setting feels fresh and modern, and the graduated stones catch the light beautifully. This is the one that elevates everything from a simple sweater to an evening dress.
FOR THE HOME
- Ruggable Tufted All in One Runner – One of my best discoveries, and clearly yours too. A runner instantly refreshes a kitchen, hallway, or entry, and because the whole thing is washable, it actually survives real life. The all in one version is the one you want, and you would never guess you can toss it in the wash.
- Quince Silk Pillowcase – A small luxury that makes a real difference. Silk is gentler on your skin and hair, it keeps you cool, and it makes the whole bed feel a little more special. If you follow my Instagram you know I even travel with one. At the Quince price, it’s one of the easiest gifts to give, and to keep for yourself.
- Flamingo Estate Heirloom Tomato Candle – The prettiest splurge candle, and such a lovely gift. The heirloom tomato scent is SO fresh and unexpected. The vessel is beautiful enough to leave right out on display. One of those little luxuries that always delights. Just love this one.
BEAUTY AND FRAGRANCE
- Eccentric Molecule 01 Fragrance – My signature scent, and the one I get the most compliments on by far. It’s barely there in the best way, clean, warm, and somehow a little different on everyone. If you’ve never tried it, consider this your sign. It’s been in my rotation for years and I never want to be without it.
- Coleman Compound – A recent obsession. This treatment has earned a permanent place in my nightly routine. This made-to-order brightening cream is powered by enzyme-activated arbutin, glycolic acid, and vitamin C, and it’s truly helping to even out my skin tone and softening the look of dark spots. A real little luxury for anyone serious about their skincare. One note: it’s a potent, active formula, so introduce it slowly.
- Sara Creel Face Flex Concealer – A little hero product. It brightens and covers without creasing or settling into fine lines, which is exactly what I want. A few well placed dots under the eyes and you look instantly more awake. I keep one in nearly every bag.
BAGS AND ACCESSORIES

- Steve Madden Dusty Suede Ankle Boots – Proof that a chic shoe doesn’t have to cost a fortune. These suede ankle boots go with everything from jeans to dresses, the heel is walkable, and the warm color works all season long. A look for less that punches well above its price.
- Lemiz Mini Asisi Convertible Suede Crossbody – I love a convertible bag, and this Italian suede one is as pretty as it is practical. Wear it crossbody for hands free days or tuck the strap for a sleeker look. The perfect everyday size, and it dresses up or down beautifully.
- Quince Expandable Carry On Luggage – For the traveler on your list, or for yourself. It’s handsome, glides around beautifully, sturdy, and expands for when you inevitably overpack, all at that signature Quince value. The kind of practical gift people are genuinely thrilled to receive.
- Gap CashSoft Lounge Set – The coziest gift of all. This buttery soft set is the thing you’ll want to live in all winter, and it makes the easiest, most giftable present under the tree. Comfortable enough for home, pulled together enough to answer the door.
And there you have it, my favorites of the year. Whether you’re treating someone special or treating yourself, I hope something here brings a little joy to your season. If you save just one post from me this year, let it be this one. xo, Sue
