I can hardly believe it’s been three years since my first blog post on the most popular home decor and remodeling FAQs!
Been keeping a running list on my phone, and these five questions come up enough times to warrant another follow up FAQs post.
So, let’s just get straight into it, shall we?
Question: What is the butcher block on your counter? Who makes it and where can I get it?
This is a Boos Block. This is the one we have, I got ours here.
I’ve also seen them elsewhere – like on Amazon.
Another, less expensive alternative is this round wood tray for less than $65.
Question: Who makes these and where can I find those butterfly prints?
These prints are by Natural Curiosities. I’m a big fan of this company.
They make great art for the home.
Obviously I’m pretty biased here, but they’re even prettier in person.
I recently saw them for sale here.
Question: What color is your front door painted?
Just like our blue butler’s pantry, it’s painted in a high gloss black by Fine Paints of Europe.
The brass lion doorknocker is from Amazon.
Question: Where is your front stair runner from?
The stair runner is by Stark Carpet.
I found a similar, less expensive Sisal option here.
Question: What breed is your dog?
Cosmo is a Havanese.
They’re GREAT with kids!
Havanese have the sweetest disposition.

After the first few (tough) puppy months, he settled into our family and our lives so perfectly!
