Beach House Renovation: Before and After photos
This beach house renovation is taking so much longer than we had first anticipated.
If you follow my stories on Instagram, then you know the main reason for the delay is due to the original contractor. I don’t want to get into the details on what he did, or didn’t do…but the good news is – we have a great new contractor on the job now.
Things are finally moving in the right direction!
So, today I’d thought I’d share some of the progress in a few before and afters.
As you can see, the kitchen is really coming together. In fact the whole first floor is dramatically different. We opened it all up to create one large living space, perfect for a beach house.
The prior layout was very choppy and broken up and didn’t allow for a lot of natural light or take advantage of the lovely view.
In addition to the large first floor living space we then added a wall to the front door stairs area in order to create a small front door foyer area.
This new wall will also allow for a tv to hang on the wall on the opposite side, which is nice because now we don’t have to hang it over the fireplace in the living room.
