You guys loved this post on interior designer owned shops.

So, today I’m back with a similar post on some of the smaller high quality home goods stores I love to browse and shop online.

First up is Jayson Home, a Chicago based store which is high on my wish list for visiting in person one day.

While I have nothing against big box furniture and decor stores (West Elm and Pottery Barn will always have a spot in my home) I do love to shop at smaller home stores for a variety of reasons.

I’m always checking the new arrivals at Lulu and Georgia and usually end up wanting it all!

Small Home Decor Shops Have Unique Items

These shops can often be a treasure trove of unique pieces and vintage finds.

Whether you’re looking for some colorful Bohemian bedspreads or an austere mid-century table, you’re more likely to come across it online at a smaller shop.

And, if your out of ideas for those hard to shop for people on your list, the curated collections are always so inspiring.

Not to mention discovering cool new things for your own home.

This year, it seems more important than ever.

It might the size or the overall design which needs tweaking, but a small home decor shop is more than likely to help you out with these types of special requests.

Hopefully one day soon I’ll get to travel back down there again.

On top of this, I’ve found the customer service is always much more personalized and helpful at these small businesses.
