Introducing The Alchemy Collection

Diane James silk flowers faux alchemy collection

If you’ve been tuning in to my Instagram stories, you know last month my friends from Diane James Home were here along with photographer Jane Beiles, shooting the look book for the company’s latest floral collection – “Alchemy. ”

Carolyn McDonough, who writes The Buzz blog for Diane James Home, along with her identical twin sister Cynthia Matrullo are the daughters of Diane James. Back in 2009, when I first started this blog, Carolyn was one of the very first off line/real life friends I made through blogging! It was so weird to go back and re-read this post from when we first met – eight years ago!

Anyway, back to 2018! It was so nice having these ladies over and I was so flattered they chose my home to shoot the new look book in. Even before we were blog buddies, I’ve loved Diane James Home’s beautiful faux flowers and plants. A short search in this blog will yield many, many posts featuring the blooms here in my own home and in several prestigious shelter magazines as well. Considered by the interior design industry to be the gold standard in faux flowers, in addition to the Diane James Home site, you can find their lifelike bouquets on the top floor of Bergdorf Goodman, at Horchow, Neiman Marcus and many, many other reputable boutiques and shops.

I hope you enjoy these shots from the latest fall collection – Alchemy!

  1. Wow!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful post, Sue. We also remember the day when we connected in real life and are so grateful for the long time friendship we’ve had. Your beautiful home provided the most perfect setting in which to shoot our new collection.
