This post on the best neutral wall colors to use in your home is long overdue.

Neutral colors are in high demand right now.

Think warm neutrals like a warm white or a creamy white

When it comes to your wall color, you want a color palette which will create the perfect backdrop for your entire home.

So, what is the best neutral paint color?

Ultimately this boils down to personal preference and also depends on whether you’re looking to paint your dining room or living room vs. a bedroom or bathroom, and so on…

However, this list of my favorite neutral paint colors could very well lead you right to the ideal neutral paint color for your home… so let’s get into it!

Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore

This is a perfect neutral paint color and therefore a great one to start off with.

There are no yellow undertones in Chantilly Lace, making it a great choice for any room in your home.

This popular color is a go to neutral shade of mine.

You can see it in our home and real a full review of it here — Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace paint review.

Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray

Next up is a lovely warm gray, Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray.

This popular wall paint color looks great in entire rooms, open concept plans, small spaces and accent walls alike.

There are some green undertones here, but they are very slight and depend a lot on the light source.

Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige

Another great looking neutral tone, this could be the right shade for you.

Accessible Beige is a great option, especially if you’re looking for a subtle neutral paint for your walls, but still want your white trim to pop.

Benjamin Moore White Dove

Another super easy to live with wall paint color and a personal favorite.

Not so much a bright white – this warm off white color is a favorite of interior designers and real estate agents alike.

Because it literally goes with almost everything (like a true neutral paint should) it’s considered to be one of the best interior paint colors on the market today.

Regardless if you have a lot of natural light or not, you’ll want to at least sample this color on your walls.

Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist

Another great color with subtle gray undertones is Balboa Mist.

This is the perfect color is you’re looking for a versatile shade which will work well with various furniture pieces.

One Last Word On Neutral Paint Colors

Ultimately you need to love the paint colors you choose for your walls.

Which is why I can’t recommend trying it out as a sample in your home first.

Because even the surrounding light from one room to another can differ, and this will alter the look of any paint color.

Live with a few samples for a few days before making your final decision.

Always be sure to test the color in natural facing light and artificial light too!

adhesive paint sample

A great way to test out a paint color, is to get these large self sticking paint samples.

Doesn’t this sounds so clever?

No messy paint cans to deal with before you commit! Win/win!

If you’re at all curious, you can find them here and try it out as a sample in your home first!
