Using Faux Flowers In Your Home Decor
While there’s nothing like real flowers, this isn’t always the most practical solution.
Today, we’ll take a look at some the best artificial flowers on the market – ones which are almost as good as the real thing.
So, let’s explore some truly elegant and creative ways to incorporate faux floral arrangements into your home – the best part is no green thumb is required!
Elegant Centerpieces For Your Dining Room Table
One of my favorite places to use a faux arrangement is on the dining table.
This is a great place to start…
Since it’s really not practical for me to keep fresh flower arrangements on this table year round, I love to use faux stems here.
These arrangements above are from Diane James Home, they make some of the best faux flowers on the market.
Using realistic faux flowers like these, adds visual interest and it’s a great way to add a pop of color to an otherwise neutral room.
Pro tip – If you’re just starting out with faux blooms, orchids are a great choice.
Most artificial orchids look so much like real blooms, people often have to touch them to realize they’re fake!

Seasonal Decor Switch-Up
Faux flowers allow you to easily switch up your home decor with the changing seasons.
Consider using individual stems like spring blooms, summer wildflowers, autumn foliage, or Balsam Hill winter berries to capture the essence of each season.
Pottery Barn has some of the best looking artificial flower stems and you can often find them on sale.
I like to personalize them a bit – and often cut them down to a more manageable size with wire cutters.
They also have a beautiful selection of faux plants which look just as good as the real deal.
In addition, you might want to check your local thrift stores, last year I found a beautiful urn with faux cherry blossoms at a nearby Goodwill.

Living Room Decor
When it comes to styling a room with artificial florals, sometimes less is more.
One of my favorite things is use one beautiful floral display on a coffee table.
Silk flowers like this elegant orchid arrangement add a bit of elegant whimsy to my living room.
You can also spruce up your bookshelves or open shelves with strategically placed faux flower arrangements.
However, remember – when it comes to using artificial blooms, as a general rule – a little bit goes a long way.
Bedroom Bliss
Fake flower arrangements always look so pretty on a bedside table.
Enhance the tranquility of your bedroom by incorporating faux flowers into your decor.
Consider placing them on your nightstand, dresser, or even arranging a bouquet on your headboard for a touch of romance.
Look for arrangements like this one from Diane James with clear vases and this clever fake water design.
Like I mentioned earlier, this company has the most realistic look when it comes to beautiful faux flowers.
Bathroom Elegance
Bring a spa-like atmosphere to your bathroom by placing fake plants on the vanity or around the bathtub.
One of my favorite tips from interior designers is to use odd numbers in vignettes like this.
Simple tips like sticking to a monochromatic color scheme really help to elevate the overall look of your styling.

Table Settings and Dinner Parties
Impress your guests by incorporating faux flowers into your table settings for dinner parties or special occasions.
