Perfect Powder Room Ideas

Powder rooms are the perfect small space to experiment, take design chances out of your comfort zone and maybe even go a bit crazy.

I also love how there’s no furniture placement or lay out to deal with.

This small room is the perfect place for great looking, over the top wallpapers.

You can also go with very dramatic wall paint, in high gloss, saturated dark colors.

Powder room floors also offer a fun opportunity to go bit wild as well.

Of course, don’t forget the powder room ceiling!

Today, I’ve featured fifteen of some my all time favorite powder room ideas as inspiration for you.

Also included are a few tips and sources as to how to “get the look” in your own home…

Vintage Finds and Reproductions Add a Special Touch

Adding vintage finds and antiques are an easy way to elevate a powder room.

There’s also so many great looking reproductions to choose from these days.

light blue powder room.

Just because it’s the smallest room in your home, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it as much attention as the rest of your home.

Adding a beautiful mirror is a great place to start.

This popular mirror immediately comes to mind, it has the old world appeal I’m talking about.

Next, you’ll want to think about light fixtures.

Good lighting is such an important design element.

Especially if your powder room doesn’t have a lot or any natural light.

There are so many beautiful lights and special mirrors to help you complete your dream space.

From wall sconces to flush mounts and even a small chandelier, your half bathroom can be as dramatic as you want it to be.

BOLD WALLPAPER

As you can probably tell, I love to see bold and crazy wallpapers in powder rooms and bathrooms.

A great wallpaper is one of the easiest ways to make a big design statement.

If you’re not working with an interior designer, Decorator’s Best is my go to shop to get samples and eventually purchase wallpaper.

A fun wallpaper pattern in a bright color can have such a big impact.

I love the unique look of this floor tile design by Frank Ponterio.

Of course, you can be incredibly creative with more neutral tones and colors as well.

This mural type of wallpaper is so brilliant in a powder room!

We have something similar in our dining room, which you can see here.

This wallpaper reminds me of the one above.

You can get very creative with your powder room floors!
A patterned tile floor is a great way to add so much personality to your home and take your design to the next level..
Even a tiny powder room can benefit from a chic patterned floor or mosaic tile.

A solid, modern vanity counter top can also be a beautiful focal point.

The marble vanity above is a personal favorite.

It’s worth mentioning here, there are some really great peel and stick wallpaper options out there.

Like this one above found on Etsy!

I also found this fabulous towel bar on Etsy.

Add Some Pretty Powder Bath Accessories

I always love to see pretty little bathroom accessories.

Monogram hand towels, cute little wastebaskets, soaps and vases can add instant style to any small bathroom.

When it comes to powder room decor, I also love this classic round mirror.

Even small changes like adding brass fixtures can sometimes make a big statement, especially in a tiny bathroom.

Conclusion

Regardless of your design style, hopefully you found some great ideas here today today to enhance the look of your powder room..

As you can see, I love to look at and be inspired by bold, beautiful powder rooms.
