The Designer Look For Less Money: Great Home Decor Sources

Today, I’ve got the follow up to last month’s post listing some of my favorite home decor sites .

eBay is the first source I want to talk about today. This site is a favorite of mine for getting vintage items. These don’t have to be pricey pieces. For example, I love to collect blue and white jars and vases. Some are brand new, but I also like to mix it up with older more unique finds. Additionally, a quick search of gold Louis Phillippe mirrors over on eBay just led me to a similar gold mirror to the one in the photo above.

If you keep an open mind, you can find some great gems on eBay. I also love to shop on Etsy for similar items. You can find my Etsy favorites here. Cross referencing both sites is a great way to ensure you’re getting a good price!

Next up is Overstock.com. I first discovered how vast the home decor selection is over there a few years ago when I was searching for Moroccan pouf ottomans for my daughter’s bedroom. I was thrilled with the discounted prices they offered and equally as happy with the quality and customer service.

Since then I’ve used this site for so many different items, from bedding to baskets and even the white pedestal tulip table and the mirrored side table in my home office, above.

antique brass sconces

Houzz is the next site I often turn to for great home decor finds. The selection on this site seems endless, but if you know what you’re looking for you can get some great deals. For example, I recently spotted the same brass sconces in our living room at a significant discount from the price we originally paid. In all fairness, the shopping portion of Houzz didn’t exist when we first installed these lights. I wish it did!

bamboo shades

The last site I want to mention today is Wayfair. It’s probably more of an obvious choice than some of the other sites I’ve highlighted here today, but still worth a mention.

Over the summer we had ordered some out door patio umbrellas from Wayfair. We had an issue with one of them. The customer service was so fast and so great it left a really positive impression with me. Plus, the prices were so budget friendly. Since then, I look to Wayfair for all types of home items, including the tiles for our beach house backsplash and even bamboo shades (similar to the ones above).

I hope you find these home decor site recommendations helpful! Let me know in the comments if you have some I need to add to my list.
