What are the best home decor websites to get the interior designers look for less?

The best home decor websites – to get the look for less!

So, today’s post started out as an update on our beach house remodel…(which is still long over due) you can see a pic of a guest bathroom for this project above.

But, it quickly took a different turn after a long conversation with a good friend.

The gist of the conversation was an answer to her question, “What’s a great place to shop for home decor to get a designer level look?”

I ended up going over several of my favorite home decor online sources with my friend.

This also answered her next question, which was basically wanting to know “how I’m able to do a majority of the shopping for our Rhode Island project, from my home here in Connecticut?”

Through the years I’ve found so many great sources for home decor and home accents online.

Since I literally just shared these with my friend, I thought I’d do a post shouting out my favorites over here as well.

The Best Places To Get The Look For Less

As for the beach house project update, I’m still working on this!

Look for that post soon.

Now, on to the sources!

The wallpaper and the wooden stool in the bathroom above both came from Serena and Lily.

I love the coastal vibe of the pieces Serena and Lily offers, it’s exactly what I’m looking for with this house.

We also got a lot of pieces for our living room from here, our outdoor coffee table and too many throw pillows to mention at this point!

This photo above is perfect for showcasing another great source – Rejuvenation Hardware.

I bought all the cabinet hardware for this kitchen from Rejuvenation after loving the ones we got for our butler’s pantry and our kitchen here in Connecticut.

Here you can see the how the hardware looks in our butler’s pantry.

Be sure to check out this post for more sources and photos of this space, including the before and afters.

And, here’s the brass cabinet hardware we have in our kitchen.

I’ve got a whole post dedicated to kitchen hardware options, if you’re on the hunt!

Don’t miss this post for our full kitchen remodel before and afters plus all the other sources.

Our kitchen was the first One Room Challenge I ever participated it.

Which leads me right to my next great online source…

I turned to Decorators Best for the wallpaper in our laundry room (which I did as part of this One Room Challenge- all the other sources are listed here) and for the paper in our guest bathroom (also a One Room Challenge project!)

They have reasonable prices and great customer service!

I’m using Decorators Best yet again for our beach house, stay tuned!

Affordable Home Decor and Home Furnishings

The next source is Amazon!

Now my friend was really surprised about this one, but maybe many of you already realize what a fantastic source Amazon is for home decor.

I’ve bought countless items through the years, including this chic sunburst mirror above (purchased at a great price with free shipping!)

In fact, I did a whole post on some home decor favorites from Amazon which you can see here.

The trick is knowing where to search. Once you know the name of the manufacturer, you can start looking for great deals and narrow it down according to your own personal style.

So, for example if your looking for lamps. Find some lamps you love…anywhere, any site.

Track them down and then find the manufacturer.

It’s not hard.

Then search on Amazon.

They might have them for less or better shipping or both!

Many online site these days offer very competitive prices and will usually ship for free!

Additional Sources For Affordable Pieces

Here’s a few more great sources I’ve come to use and trust over the years for quality home decor at affordable prices:

Blinds.com

Target

Overstock

Walmart

Etsy

World Market

Home Depot

Urban Outfitters

Pottery Barn Kids

Thank you! I am building a home and today is hardware day – I must pick. Thanks for the tips. One question – all of the hardware links you posted go to the same hardware – the Rejuvenation Canfield pull. Did you use the same pull/hardware in all of your spaces?

yes I did, but as you can see I mixed it up a little. in the white kitchen, just the long pulls, in the blue pantry, we used bin pulls as well and in the beach kitchen we used the Canfield knobs! Good luck!

Love the post, but I only see four sources, not 5? Build, Rejuvenation, Decorator’s Best, Amazon? Did I miss one?
