What are the best wall paint colors for kitchens with white cabinets?
Kitchens with white cabinetry are popular in both traditional and modern homes.
Because a white kitchen makes the space appear brighter and more open, making any small kitchen feel spacious
Today we’re going to discuss the best kitchen paint colors for white kitchen cabinets.
Most interior designers will usually recommend white warm tones or light gray paint colors for the kitchen walls.
However, it’s also possible to use a bold color or to go with a color palette of neutral colors.
Kitchen Colors
Here are some of the best colors to paint in a kitchen with white cabinets.
Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee
Starting out with a super popular choice – Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee.
This is such is a perfect color.
So, we went with this wall color in our Florida home, pictured above.
The kitchen cabinet paint color is Creamy White by Benjamin Moore and it pairs beautifully with this slightly warm color.
Lighter Shades Of Neutral Tones and Greige Colors
Do you want a kitchen that feels warm and seems super clean all the time?
A greige color may be exactly what your kitchen needs.
Greige will produce gray walls that radiate warmth because of the beige undertone.
The warmth will bounce off the greige walls in your kitchen and create a cozy environment so important for the heart of the home -where you can enjoy your cooking.
Here we used Farrow and Ball Elephants Breath – such a great choice to consider.
White Colors Are A Great Option For Your Kitchen Walls
If you are looking for a color that is perfectly compatible with the white cabinets, reflects natural light excellently, and produces a nice clean look for your kitchen, then a white paint might be the perfect choice.
Also, white walls are compatible with different shades of white, especially if the cabinet color has e a warm white shade.
And, are you big on maintaining high levels of hygiene in your home?
Then a white kitchen will fit in perfectly with your taste and personality.
Because the clean look that white walls provide will make you feel satisfied every time you walk into your kitchen.
As you can see this timeless look is my personal preference when it comes to kitchen design.
Here we used another popular color, Benjamin Moore White OC- 151.
Also, this classic look pairs beautifully with white countertops.
Blue Walls and Darker Colors
Maybe you don’t think a bright light color is the right paint color for your kitchen, but you also have doubts whether warm colors are the best colors for your kitchen space.
In this case, think about choosing a deep color – like bright blues that will contrast perfectly with the white kitchen cabinets.
Moreover, a beautiful light blue can look very soothing and sophisticated in a kitchen, creating the perfect balance.
Equally important, a dark blue color will produce a cool, mysterious, and luxurious atmosphere in your kitchen, that will add a splash of elegance to your home.
Here are a few bright colors: different colors or shades you might want to consider.
- Benjamin Moore Denim Wash
- Sherwin Williams Silken Peacock
- Benjamin Moore Hale Navy
- Benjamin Moore Indi go-go
- Benjamin Moore Blue Heron

Conclusion
To summarize, you need to love the paint colors you choose for your walls to make sure they can stand the test of time.
For this reason, why I can’t recommend trying it out as a sample in your home first.
Because even the surrounding light from one room to another can differ, and this will alter the look of any paint color.
Therefore, it’s such a good idea to live with a few samples for several days before choosing your final color scheme.
Always be sure to test the color in natural facing light and artificial light too!
The best way to test out a paint color, is to get these large self sticking paint samples.
Doesn’t this sounds so clever?
No messy paint cans to deal with before you commit! Win/win!
If you’re at all curious, you can find them here and try it out as a sample in your home first!
